Mojo Coast is here, and it has one job: telling the stories of the Mississippi Gulf Coast music scene.
This coast punches way above its weight in live music. On any given weekend there are bands playing in rooms you could drive right past, pickers who have been holding down the same corner stage for twenty years, and young artists writing songs about the water they grew up on. Most of it never gets written down. We are here to fix that.
Here is what you will find on Mojo Coast: interviews with the artists, guides to the venues worth your Friday night, roundups of the weekends worth leaving the house for, and news from around the scene. Some interviews will be conversations in person, in the rooms where the music happens. Others will be written Q&As with musicians answering from the road. Both count. The point is the stories get told.
